Cam Shaft Leaking

My first post here..
Have a '07 TL with ~215k miles on it
My car was in the repair shop a few days ago, and while changing out my alternator, they told me my cam seal was leaking. I also had the oil pan gasket and valve cover gasket replaced a few months ago due to oil leaking. I had the timing belt/water pump changed 15k miles ago, but they did not change out the cam seal. I do not see any oil drops underneath my car, and they said it's not major or urgent, but it does seem to be more hot under the hood than normal and have a very faint vapor.

Does anyone have any experience with this? How concerned should I be, if oil loss is at a minimum right now I've read the seal can leak onto the timing belt and cause major issues, and I've also read it can leak without damaging anything around it. Also, would anyone consider Oil Stop Leak as an option?

I'd rather avoid the repair shop for a while due to the expense, but thought I'd come here and see if anyone has any experience or recommendations around this issue.

Thanks

You have to basically remove the TB again to get to cam shaft seals so if it isn't major, I'd just continue to add oil until the next job or yoru car dies, whichever comes first. Keep an eye on your oil levels more often

I have a 2006 TL 6MT with 133,000 miles on the clock and a recently identified leaking cam seal. Am I worried? No. Will I get it changed before my next scheduled Timing Belt change (at 210,000 miles). No. Why? Oil is cheap; I'll just keep feeding the engine oil until the next timing belt job is due and then have the whole thing done.
