Arrow Buzz then "Splat" Sound car OFF

Every 30 seconds when the car is fully off, there is a faint buzz, and then sounds like a "splat" sound (for lack of better description) coming from the dash area. Any clue on what it is?

Not speaker at all. Sounds mechanical - coming from the steering wheel console. I can't quite pinpoint where it is.

A splat sound? That's going to be hard to diagnose. Can you poke around more and try to pinpoint a finer area where the sound is coming from?

If you remove the key from the ignition and sit in the car, it still does it? Does it do it after the car has been sitting for a while (like overnight?)

Here's the thing - the car has been off since 8:21 am this morning, and I noticed it when I sat in my car for lunch @ around 2:20 pm. I didn't start the car at all. I simply unlocked it, and sat in it without locking doors or anything. It is an accurate 30 second interval between events. As if it is timed or something.

okay then next would be a relay.. can you try and pinpoint to see if it's under the steering wheel column/kick panels? Or try and record it?

That's what I was thinking - especially since my car died in a winter storm in only 3 days...It may be a small drain. I will try to investigate further tonight. Tried to record it, but it wasn't picked up by the mic. When I pinpoint and get right next to it, I am sure it will register via recording.

oh man.. electrical gremlins troubleshooting is never fun

if your car is dying in 3 days... there's a current draw somewhere. Off the bat, I'd check HFL to see if that may be a culprit of the drain since it's such a common issue with our cars.

it may or not be related to this sound though.
