Broken Spark plug tube?

Hey all, this is for my 06 accord 6MT, but i figured i'd ask ya'll since the engine is similar...

Hey guys, I was checking on my spark plugs and noticed alot of oil in my tubes. Upon inspection, I noticed that the small piece came off the main tube. As I inspected more plugs, some had the small piece still glued on.

So is it safe to assume that these tubes are broken? or is that how its supposed to be and my oil leak is coming from somewhere else?

What could have caused the small section to come apart if this isn't normal? I'm at 71k miles on my 06 6sp. Anyone else ever have this issue?

I've seen that happen with spark plug tube oil leaks on older Hondas.

Replace the valve cover gaskets and spark plug tube gaskets.
You can probably just stick that coil back in and hope it doesn't misfire or you can just replace the coil. Do a valve adjustment while your at it.

Do you think the bad spark plug seals caused them to break apart?

Maybe. If none of the spark plugs were loose, it could be the seals. Or it could be a little of both (heat + oil). As long as you aren't throwing a code or noticing an erratic engine performance, I wouldn't replace the coil/s until you discover the source of the leak/s.
