Brakes Still Squeeks After Replacing Pads!! >.<
I bought my car with slotted rotors back in October and changed the brakes on them about a month or two ago. Ever since then I've been hearing them squeek as I apply my brakes. My pads are still in great shape,Does anyone know what may cause this ?

OP this doesn't work for me, trust me I put almost everything that has "brake quiet" and yet its still squeak (Yes I did proper bedding also going from 60mph to 10 mph and repeat the process for ten times) and yet the squeak still there. However couple thousand miles later the noise went away and now my brake quiet like it should be.
ive been having the same problem with my brakes and i know for a fact changing the pads didnt help. not sure what it is but i just bought new rotors and pads to go with it so hope it helps out. i will let ya know how it is after install tommorrow.

One way to check is that when stopping as normal and the noise is heard, push the brakes harder and the noise stops. If so, the coating will work if done properly.
I hope you get the results your looking for. The squeaks are annoying and causes too much attention lol
Have never had a pad it didn't correct if applied properly. Most will put the shims on then apply the solution to the back of the shims, still allowing the pad(s) to move and rub against the shim.

Nope I applied brake quiet on back of the pad and put the shim over it then apply another layer at the shim as well, for the back side I put all the lube where the pad is in contact as well. And yet still get squeak but only when cold once its warm up the noise is gone, but after couple thousand miles later there is no squeak or noise coming from the brake.
Fixing brake squeel is an obnoxious process. I had new rotors and pads put on about a year ago and they're just now starting to squeek for whatever reason. They only do it during light braking at speed. No clue what it is, but I'm dreading diagnosing the issue.
So Im not the only one! haha okay. interesting.. Wish there was a simple solution. Tried everything. Bothers me so much too. That brake squeal makes any car's appearance looks cheap and junky
Hate it so much!

I tried everything under the sun to get the brakes to stop squealing. Proper bed in procedure, different brake pads, machined rotors, just about all the anti-squeal stuff at the auto parts store, and the squeal partially went away. Now it only does it in reverse. I just gave up and drive it now. I don't really give a damn anymore.
That's exactly how I felt before I posted I thought I was the only one with this problem. But I agree with you the squeal makes any cars appearance look cheap and junky. I want to fix it before I start modding mine.

Same here.. braking normal is fine.. light braking is where the squeek happens... Not really looking forward to mines either
Just did my front brakes last week with new Centric Posi-Quiet (yeah right) semi-metallic pads and their high carbon rotors. I'm now getting that finger nail on a blackboard type squealing when hitting the brake pedal at very low speeds and it's driving me crazy. Doesn't happen every time I hit the brakes, but when it does, it's loud enough to make heads turn in my direction, even from 50-100 feet away! Can't complain about the stopping power though. As good as the grossly overpriced OEM Brembo pads from the stealership.
Called Centric's tech support in CA, www.centricparts.com. They told me to bed them in by doing about 10 hard stops from about 50 to 5 MPH and then drive around for a little while with little or no stopping to cool them down. We'll see if that works. Stay tuned.......

I wonder if its the rotors??? I had my rotors for about three years drill slotted and never had issues until this past winter.. What gives... I might just change out my rotors and go back to stock
Mine are doing this too. Like most have mentioned, only when I'm doing a low speed stop. I also bought the Duralast C Max Gold pads with a set of duralast rotors too. I bought my TL so I would have a clean DD to go with my weekend car (RSX). I hate when it squeals because people think that your car is cheap and that you don't take care of it (at least that's how I am). I'm going to try the bedding in process after I get off of work and see if it helps.
Mine front brakes also squeel a little bit too. I had my pads checked and they are good, so are the rotors. I bought some brake spray and sprayed it on the rotors, but it did not help. The squeek is not terribly loud, but I would like to get rid of it.
I went to honda and they will spray and grease the pads for about $40.00 an axle, so I tried this spray first myself.
I have a friend that works at Honda, so if I get him to grease my pads, I will let you all know the outcome.

I replaced my Wife's pads and rotors a few years back and did all the normal precautions: bedding, brake quiet,re-bedding, more quiet, etc. Our Pilot continued to squeal like a pig with light braking at low speeds like some of you.
The fix was to change the pads back to oem. The new slotted/dimpled rotors apparently were not compatible with the Hawk HFS pads I replaced with. Once I went back to oem pads, the squeal went away and remains quiet now with the same slotted/dimpled rotors.
I'm still running with oem pads/rotors on my TL but have some StopTech slotted rotors and Hawk ceramic pads waiting for installation. I'm just about at 60k miles so brakes should be needed pretty soon. I pray I don't get the squeal like our Pilot.

I just did mine last weekend and I'm running new Hawk pads in the fronts along with my RacingBrake slotted/drilled rotors. I bedded them in but I think I might have to do that again but I greased the hell out of them again yesterday and to no avail the low speed stops it still squeals. The Hawk pads have their own shims on the I did notice with the RB pads they wore a bit uneven. I think that had something to do with the oem shims since they don't cover the entire pad. I am hoping after awhile the squeal will go away otherwise I am going to pull it all out and clean it all over again and regrease everything.
On a side note I also have ss line and I noticed the front lines, the clear coating has burnt off on the ends closer to the caliper side. Nothing is touching the lines either.

In the same boat...
I also have duralast cmax pads that I just swapped for a 2nd set thinking maybe they were faulty and they still squeal only with light braking and when they are warm (after a little driving). I greased all moving parts and used crc and still have squealing. I am about ready to downgrade to the regular duralast ceramic pads and give those a shot.
I just swapped out the shims yesterday. I took off the shims that came with the Hawk pads and put back on my oem shims (brembos, don't know if the shims differ from base to type s) Also I was using the red CRC disc brake quiet lube and switched it to the black one from CRC that comes with a brush within the plastic jar. I also went and re-bed in the brakes. Although I can't attribute it to one I think the switch and the re-bed did the trick. NO SQUEALS at the moment!!!!
One thing I noticed is that the bottom half of the pad wasn't really touching the rotor. The oem shim is not squared in design like most. They Type S shims have an angle design to them. So I'm thinking the pistions are angled a bit and with the shims pushing out the top half towards the rotor it creates a true flat contact between the pad and rotor.

I replaced my pads and rotors about 3 years ago, I greased all metal to metal surfaces with brake caliper grease and I have never had a brake squeal. I'm using centric rotors and akebono pads. Never had to do a bed in procedure, all I did when they where new is just brake easy for the first 500 or so miles. What causes the brakes to squeal is parts moving back and forth under light braking cause the squeal. Properly greasing these parts will prevent the squeal. Pad material building up on the rotor surface will cause a pulsation which most people confuse with a warped rotor, Doing the bed in procedure will burn off the pad material and fix the pulsation.
Try Wagner Thermo-Quiets. Have 'em a month now and so far so good.

I guess I'm lucky. Get the very faintest of squeaks, but only in reverse. I also slather what brake quite junk I have on hand all over the pads. I've used 4 or 5 different pads for my Brembo's and never had any issues.
Replaced my front brake pads with EBC Redstuff pads, and they make a (do my best here) chk, chk, chk noise. Usually starts when they get warm. Doesn't really get too much louder when i come to a stop. I thought maybe i got something between the rotor & pads, but couldn't find anything. The pads came with a bedding layer as well.
