Brake Service Question...

I have an '04 5AT and I've been hearing some squeaking when braking at low speeds the past few days. I have 62K miles on the car. I just got the car a few months ago and it is still under the 12K/12-month certified warranty.

I was going to schedule an appt. at the Acura dealer tomorrow morning... I was wondering if everybody gets their brakes serviced at the dealer? Or at other brake shops? (i.e. Midas, where they offer lifetime brake pad replacement) Is there a difference? I just didn't care in the past with my other cars... Thanks!

I would use other places to do my brakes but you have to make sure you use OEM parts.

if you want them to use OEM parts request it. most independent shops dont use junk when they do their brake installs, and good shops will recognize if one of the products they carry is not as good as OEM and tell you so you can decide what to do.
