Hi,

I changed my brake rotors and brake pads today. I am using EBC brake rotors and EBC Redstuff. The rotors before the first use were the color Gold. However, after I drove the car today and started braking I checked the brake rotors and now they look silver. Is this normal after installing new brake rotors and brake pads?

The gold color is probably just a coating that you wore off when you used the brakes.

yes its normal. I had ebc rotors and ebc green stuff a while back. Its the zinc coating thats coming off the face of the rotor.

What type of brake pads do you currently have installed?

 

^Right now I have the wilwood bbk for the front and rear. Im using the pads that came with the kit
