Brake bleeders

To save me a trip out under the car.. Are the bleeder screws on an 06 A/T brakes accessible without removing the wheels.

Dont want the shop removing my wheels to do a flush.

Never done with wheels on, but as its not Brembo equipped, although challenging, don't see why the job can't be done with the wheels on, but depending on the method they are going to use I'd let them take the wheels off to avoid any brake fluid contamination to the wheels or even kicking the wheels with a tool.

You really should just take the 30 seconds to look at the car.

Especially with aftermarket larger wheels, it should be really easy to do on the car. You just run a fairly good risk of getting brake fluid on the wheels. That's generally something you want to avoid.

I did it on a Brembo equipped model with the stock wheels on. Space is tight, but its possible. I did it with a vacuum pump, so it was easy to avoid getting brake fluid everywhere.

This is the wheel 19"

I really don't want them removing them .. had bad luck in the past with knocking wheels over .. over torque etc etc

Brake fluid eats paint bruh. Better take them off; it's not worth the risk of damaging your investment in some sexay wheels.

Were you able to get to both sides of the caliper?

Yeah. But that's not too easy.

Nice wheels and I also share your concern whenever anyone touches my car(s) which they don't do, except tire replacement and even then I cringe as some don't use torque sticks and just want to use an air tool with no control, but I insist on manual tightening then checking the torque when I get home. As far as wheel damage, take a picture(s), before drop-off, of each wheel along with a newspaper so one can see the date and you'll have evidence if any damage is done. Not too comforting, but what else can one do? Even when they get in the car to drive it into the shop, damage can occur, door dings, interior stain, rip from a tool, etc.

When we purchased our RX7 Turbo new, a mechanic got into the car with normal work pants and just the button on the rear pocket put a 3" scrape in the leather. Cost them $800 to replace, then they broke the front air dam, add another $500. Actually they replaced the leather cover 2 times because of damage they did.

Good luck.

I just looked at the wheels / bleeders .. lots of clearance front and back.

The shop I use is an indy specializing in exotics and imports and I know the people personally.

But .. things can happen .. Going to drive over today and let them look at it .. Other option is to swap wheels with my Civic which has the TL stock ones on it .. then give it to them. Lots of work ..
