Bouncing Pedal at around 30 mph

Hey guys, ive got a question.

So i bought an 05 Auto TL back in 2007 or 2008 that had about 38k miles on it.

So it started having the grinding vibrations at lower RPMS that i see everyone is talking about in the other threads, but it didnt bother me much.

But now, what IS bothering me is that when it is cold out, and im not giving it much gas, the gas pedal seems to bounce around/vibrate/jump up and down at around 30 MPH. It SEEMS that when it warms up, it doesnt do it much. Right now im sitting at 77k or so.

Im sure there must be a fix, as ive got this year left in my powertrain warantly right? Anyone of you guys have had this same problem?

Thanx for the info.

Justin

The accelerator pedal is connected to the APP sensor by the throttle cable. I really don't know how the pedal could be moving unless possibly there is slack in the cable and/or it is sticking.

The pedal moves the cable which moves a position indicator in the APP sensor. The APP sensor sends a voltage signal to the ECU based on the position it senses and then the ECU controls the injectors accordingly.

I'd check the cable free play. If that's good, you may need to lube or replace the cable.

When you say cold out ... what is cold ? You sure you don't have a flat spotting issue on a tire?
