The HFL in my 05-TL has a mind of its own. About 75% of the time I press the "talk" button to start up the HFL absolutely nothing happens. The other 25% it works just fine, EXCEPT pairing. I CAN go through all the prompts and settings just fine but when I try to pair a phone it never finds one. It says "Searching for a bluetooth phone" and then about 2min later says "No phones found". I have tried a few different phones and still no luck. My phone that I would primarily be using is a Verazon iPhone 5s. Has anyone been able to bluetooth/connect their iPhone 5s to their HFL? and does anyone have an idea of why it wont even turn on 75% of the time and then not pair when it does? sorry for the long post but I would greatly appreciate any help. I wonder if this is related to your alarm problem. The HFL going bad is not an unusual problem. An iPhone shouldn't have any issues pairing to the car.

Try disconnecting the HFL module and see if the alarm starts working.

 

You started identical threads here and in the Audio, Bluetooth, etc forum - next time please start just one thread.

 

Is it really that big of a deal? Did it some how affect you enough that you took your time to write that post. Super cool dude.
