Blue Tint on Rear View mirror faded?

My Passenger side rear view mirror seems to have a few spots on it where the blue tint has faded off a bit where its spotty. Would this be covered under warranty or no?

Anyone else have had or heard of this problem?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I've got a spot too on my drivers side mirror. I'd be curious if this is common and and how it got fixed.

Do you think it could be related to the heated mirrors? My friends 01 Jetta has a faded spot on the mirror. They are heated and have the blue tint as well.

I am not sure, but it should be covered. You can call a dealer other than the dealership you use and ask them and try to get as much information as you can before talking to your own dealer.
