Bizarre electrical problem

I have the weirdest problem today. While driving in the rain the navi flashed a bit and then wipers stopped working in the first 2 positions. It only works in the last 2. The outside temperature on the mid reads - - - and the a/c and rear defrost stopped working. The turn signals don't work and the headlight indicator on the dash also doesn't show. The headlights do work however. While driving it intermittently returned to normal and went back to weird again. After I parked the car the remote does not open or close the door. I doubt it's a fuse problem as its multiple devices it's effecting. It all seems to point to something related to the dashboard as when the indicator lights are on everything seems to work. I tried searching but didn't find anything directly related.

Sounds to me like water got down into the computer. I have had so many cars I forget if it was Acura that had the issue, but I remember something about a windshield drain mast clogging with debri and somehow allowing water into the cabin at the passenger footwell. Touch the carpet in that area and see if you feel any water, or you can pull a few of the interior panels in that area and pull the carpet up and see if anything is going on down there.

I thought about that too but I opened the hood and there wasn't much water log. I searched some more and saw someone report a bad hfl module which seems weird but his symptoms were exact same as mine.

I'd have your battery checked just in case. I've seen bad batteries do some crazy things to a vehicle.

No, not under the hood. Check inside the vehicle in the passenger footwell (where a person sitting in the front passenger seat feet would be). Water gets INSIDE the car and effects all the computers located there.

I'll check again tomorrow morning when I can see clearly. The car went back to normal for now but I am afraid the problem returns.

Checked the fuse panel in the foot well and didn't feel any water. The car was normal last night and this morning has the same problem. I read some threads that people attribute this to the micu. Looked that part up and it was 200+ bucks.

I would agree

There are all sort of threads where dying batteries have manifested themselves in odd symptomatic issues. How old is you battery?? Double check that connections are clean and tight both on the battery posts and the other ends.

The batteries are about 4 years old. It did die on me this winter once since I had the car parked for about 3 weeks because of snow storms. It charged back right away and I have not had a problem since. I read a bunch of threads and alot of them say it might be the micu. There were a few that just said pull the battery to reset the electronics which is what I did. It's been fine for about a week now so we'll see. I do think I will change the battery anyways since it's close to the 5 year mark.

Try cleaning battery terminals and tighten terminals properly. Water and condensation between connections could cause electrical issues like yours when it rains.

You most likely have a leak dripping down onto the MICU which sits behind the fuse box in the drivers kick panel.
I'm sure once it dries the problems will clear itself but you have to find the source of the leak.
The leak will most likely be along the mid-to lower portion of the A pillar on drivers side.

From inside of the car, gently push up on the windshield to see if it flexes.
