A bit hard to start?

Newbie here! own a 06 TL with very low miles, bought it about a year ago for the wifey, The car is awesome i like everything about it, still wish i would of gotten the Type S, but its her family car as she calls it
My problem is when iam starting the car it takes it a few times to turn over before it starts? i took it to the dealer while under warrantie and they said thast normal? Any of you guys experience the samething? Once it starts it runs great! i never had a a car needing to crank so much to start, unless it had a bad tune?

I'm not positive but I believe it does 2 revolutions before it starts. As long as it does not try to start and then die you're probably ok. Mine takes longer than most other cars I've been in and I've had mine since it was new.

Just for reference mine takes about 1.5 seconds to start.

it should start on the first try. one thing to check is your battery to see if it putting out enough cca. I got a 02 CL-S here and the car starts on the first crank every time even when it has nearly 100K on it. when my original battery died last year one of the things I noticed was the car took longer crank than normal to start.

Sounds about right, it just feels like it has to crank a little longer then average to start. btw. Love that avatar of your Buick from your sig it looks like a mean beast!

Ive had the Batterie checked all good, i doubt the starter cause i would have other issues if i would have to crank that long all the time? and i doubt the fuel pump cause it idles fine, drive it hard on the highway and doesnt stumble not even a bit? Even around the city with the A/C on, no issues.

Along those lines, make sure you can hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key to on. If this is the case, turning it on for a second or two and then starting it would solve the problem.

damn!! i didnt even think about that? we had that issue with our Mustangs in the winter, we would get in and just crank it would take some time to start? Turn the key for a sec and starts right up! car has only 38k on it but I probably should check the fuel filter too? I'll have the wife try that when she comes home from work, thanks

fuel filter is a sock inside the tank- not user replaced

try a can of seafoam in just under half tank of gas (2 oz seafoam to each gal of gas)
to clean injectors and other parts that effect starting

or Redline SI-1 fuel injector cleaner is awesome too- a bottle to half tank

chevron techroline is good too- just have to use more of it- more cost

Use of good quality brand gas, 91 octane or 93-94 if thats what is premuin grade in your area, helps too

I'll get some fuel injector cleaner cant hurt? We always put premium fuel in it, 91 octane is the highest we got here in Colorado. The car has low miles but you never know what the previous owner might have put it thru?
