Belt Noise? Need Assistance!

Hey Guys,

2007 Acura TL Type-S

I am having a start-up noise, and it sounds like its timing belt related - but I wanted to share for clarification and expert opinions. I have attached a video to share via YouTube - see link below.

Every time the car first starts-up the noise is coming from the passenger front and when I accelerate, it sounds like it "flapping" or something. Just let me know your thoughts on the problem and/or solution.

Thanks in advance! Much appreciated!

Agreed. I just changed mine. Happens on really cold starts and goes away after 45 seconds.

I agree, may be the serpentine belt tensioner/idler pulley, not timing belt area. Remove the serpentine belt and start the car to see if noise still exists. If not, serpentine tensioner/idler pulley, but if still present, timing belt area.

I video taken from the engine compartment might help a little, but this sounds just like the sound in the other thread on weird sounds...
