Battery Drain..Not HFL
Hello all, new to site but lurked unregistered for awhile.
Wanted to add what I found was killing my battery in just a few hrs. after trying the common HFL disconnect.
My a/c clutch is engaging whenever battery is connected... car off...killing the battery quickly.
Started into the parasitic draw test, and it was obvious as soon as I touched the cable with my test lead I could hear the clutch clicking.
If anyone knows why, do tell, meanwhile I'm off to peruse my FSM.

Not sure about the 3g TL but there's quite a few mdx's and odyssey's that have the same problem. There's a TSB for these vehicles about the AC clutch relay being defective and needing to be replaced with a revised part number. Replace it with a part number given to you by a dealers parts dept and I'm sure it will be fine.

Yep, Confirmed with service at David McDavid in Plano, and picked the relay up at my local Honda dealer. 5 bucks and change. If they have it in stock, you know its being replaced. My buddy is top tech there and says they go thru alot of 'em. Popped it in..will report a successful resolution hopefully.
