Battery or Alternator?

Hi guys
I drive an 08 acura tl and i've been experiencing some electrical issues. It started with my car battery dying very often to it needing a jump everytime i needed to start the car. I purchased a refurbished battery and the following day when I got my oil changed the guy that changed my oil said he had to jump my car again. The car was fine for a few days but now it wont start again without a jump. Could the issue be with the refurbished battery or could this possibly be an alternator issue?

sounds like an alternator issue to me. have you done any mods that required wiring in your car? something might be draining power while the car is off

do you hear a whining noise at all? Mine just went out a couple weeks ago and my buddies TL-S last week. I have read some people experience Alternator issues around 70K.

If the car dies while it is running then it is the alternator. If the car will stay running once started, but needs to be jumped every time then it is the battery.

Does your hands free link (bluetooth) for the vehicle stay at the "Booting up..." screen?

That could be the reason behind your battery dying

Sounds like a battery issue to me also. Go to wherever you purchased it. Hopefully you kept your receipt. The warranty on refurbished batteries suck. Head to your local parts store and have them check both. ITs free so might as well before dumping any more money
