Battery acting weird

I've had my car (05 TL) for about 7 months and never had any problems with it so far. I installed a CAI about 3 months ago and everything was fine for a month after that but the battery started acting funny about 2 months ago.

Basically, I go to start my car and the battery dies. Everything completely shuts off. Open and close drivers door and press the lock button and the battery comes back on. Try to start the car again and it works.

It initially happened every week or so for the first month lately it started happening more often. I checked the battery connections and they were a little loose since I took out the battery when installing the CAI but even after I tightened them (about a month ago) it's still going on.

I checked all the connections and went checked over everything that I messed with while installing the CAI and everything seems fine. It can't be the battery because it doesn't sound weak and it works fine most of the time but just slips sometimes.

Help?

Sounds like a bad connection between cables and batt.

Bad cell(s) in the battery or dying battery-- it's apparently pretty common (from the number of threads hereon AZ) if it's 1) the original battery and either 2a) you're in a cold-weather state or 2b) you operate the electronics, like added subs or talk using the HFL, a bit with the ignition off.

If you have the stock battery, just get a good replacement now (Optima or Interstate from Costco, Sam's Club, local auto parts store, etc.).

Today when I went to start the car, the battery died and instead of waiting I tried to start it again instantly and it worked but the battery definitely sounded weak. Time for a new battery, Thanks for the help!
