Backup Sensors stopped working after Starter Replaced - Is there a connection?
The backup sensors are an expensive dealer add-on and unfortunately stopped working literally the day I brought them back from a local mechanic who changed the starter.
I talked to him and he says there's no way the two are related. I don't think this sort of coincidence happens all of a sudden, however. What the heck?
What do you guys think?

Don't know if it's a coincidence. There is a 2 amp fuse for the backup sensor system in the newer cars that's in the trunk. Perhaps a connecter might have been disconnected, or this fuse blown. I'd also check your fuse boxes for a master fuse that might run this circuit.
Here's a Acura document showing you a newer version--might help you track it down: http://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/pubs/AI/BII44585.pdf
