Axle issue MARYALND

Hey guys i have a 06 auto tl and i just got my oil changed and there was axle grease all over the place. Im assuming it was from my fender liner ripping the other day and hitting it. I am lowered right now and i am getting my stock suspension put back on on Monday. Any suggestions on what to do? Any dealer recommendations in MARYLAND

CV boots are generally wear and tear items, your probably going to have to pay for new boots and a re-pack. Your probably looking around 300 bucks.

so would it be cheaper to take it to a shop rather than the dealer?

If you're putting your stock suspension back, you might as well do it then. Acura sells a CV joint kit, which contains inner/outer boots, inner/outer clamps, circlips, inner/outer grease (yes the grease is different for the inner and outer CV joints).

Since the driveshaft is pressed into the outer CV joint, you might as well replace the inner boot as well.

The kit cost ~$40-50, if you have the stock suspension put back on I can't think it's not that much extra. You will also need to replace the ATF or MTF fluid also.

Can't recommend any dealer since I've always done them myself. It's not a dificult job WITH the exception of breaking the lower ball joint cone from the steering knuckle. It's also a very messy job and the amount of grease from removing and cleaning out the CV joints.
