Auto AC - force recirc

Anyone know how to set the AC to AUTO, but force it to stay on recirc? I drive in a lot of traffic, and never want 'fresh' air.

I have an 04 RL (loaner) that can do just that - it has FULL AUTO mode where it controls everything, or I can set it to recirc, and do a partial auto, where it just controls the fan.

Thanks.

I tried to do this once and it is not possible. I think if you hit recirculate then it turns off AUTO mode.

Check the owners manual but I think you're "splitting hairs" here. By pressing the recirculation button it isn't technically in full auto because full auto can turn on/off recirculation as needed. So I think all you have done is turned off just that function of the auto mode. I think all other aspects of auto climate control will be still operating. I use the recirc button lots in the summer and everything else seems to be just the same as auto.

In fact I think it is pretty difficult to make it stop automatically controlling temp unless you turn it off.
