sounds like you've either got a midget hooker trapped between your axles, or it's a power steering issue.
if it's just doing it randomly then you've probably got a very tiny leak. maybe even too tiny to let fluid out but big enough to pull air in. the moaning sound is usually associated with bubbles in the power steering lines.
have you had the PS o-ring recall done yet?

Do a google search for "service bulletin 07-060" and you will find an Acura Service Bulletin on this problem. My 2004 TL was clearly out of warranty, and I took my car to the dealer, showed them the pdf, and asked if they were willing to do the work for free. They agreed, no hassles at all.

I've got the same problem. I've confirmed that there is no midget hooker anywhere in/under/around the front end.
Did find one in the trunk though. That is an entirely different sound. More of alternating banging - screaming sound.
I considered removing it, you know, to stop the noise, but decided not to. You never know when a midget hooker is going to come in handy and they're not that easy to find.
The other thing I found (in case anyone else has this problem), is that if you give her $20, she shuts up for about 15 minutes. ymmv.
Anyway, here's the Power Steering Moan/Whine threads:

Planning to flush the system and replace my O-ring tomorrow.

Mr. Detail
96 cent O-ring fixed the problem. The O-ring on the return hose from the pump (the hose that goes foward then down to the bottom of the power steering reservoir dries out and allows air into the system. One 10 mm bolt, remove old O-ring, put in new (should be red/orange) one, tighten bolt, turn wheel a few times to get the air out of the system and that should cure the problem.
