Anyone ever blow a tire in a loaner car?

...just did in an '09 loaner ..

I figure my insurance will pick this one up, but am curious if anyone has had any difficult experiences with the dealership regarding this type of issue.

This might be relevant:

I blew a tire this week in my enterprise rent-a-car. I wasn't responsible for a penny of it.

loaner cars are essentially rental cars the dealer is paying for and giving to you
As long as you didnt drive over a curb and ruin the rim---a normal flat tire for whatever normal road related conditions- is NOT your fault or responsibility

All you have to do is put on the spare, call the dealer and ask if they have another car
Drop it off- take the new car and continue waiting for your car to be repaired

I took of the front bumper on an enterprise rental... (it was a slight accident, just done by me) But with acura loaners, if the person driving is responsible such as going past design limits of the tire (excess of 160), hitting a curb or something of the nature, the driver will have to pay.

If it is the dealerships fault (low air, bad mounting) then the dealer will have to pay. If it is a road-hazard, the dealer will pay though their road hazard insurance.

Well, it turned out to be a great experience:

I called the service manager (continental Acura in Naperville, IL) and he had a TSX loaner warmed up (heated seats on, warm air blasting) and waiting for me, did not ask me for insurance info or any money for the tire repair, and apologized for the inconvenience and had me back on my as my car was not yet ready.

Glad that all worked out -- thanks for all the replies!

^ NICE! glad that worked out for you!
I rented a car from enterprise once and of course I drove it till the gas light was on. Well to make a long story short I went to put gas in and there was a locking gas cap on the car. I could not get the thing off!! I looked everywhere in the car for the key and tried to get this damn cap off for an hour before I gave up. It was night time so enterprise was closed and the 800 # was no help. Because I am a women they thought I didn't know how to open the door where the gas cap is located...WOW, I am not THAT stupid!! I ended up calling a ride and leaving the car at the gas station since I knew I did not have enough gas to make it home. I called enterprise the next morning and told them where the car was and if they tried to charge me I would dispute it w/ my credit card co. They never charged me and sent me a $100 voucher just in case I need to rent another car from them
