04 TL automatic transmission slipping issue. So the car and the transmission runs great from cold to about 5 10 miles give or take. No slipping issues at all. Then once it starts to slip it starts from first gear and continues until I turn it off and let it sit. Then it runs fine again. So far I’ve done a 2x3 fluid change and I changed the transmission fluid filter. Still the same issue. I feel like this is a fluid blockage issue since the trans runs fine in the beginning. Anyone have this issue? Also, does changing the 3rd and 4th pressure switches have any impact on the 1st gear?

 

This has happened countless times.

Transmission is done, no matter how much money you throw at it.

Maybe could have been saved if you had done all the things you mentioned before slipping started, but at this point it's too late.

once the fluid gets hot, the trans can't pump it and the trans then slips.
