Another Rattle

So today, I all of a sudden got a new rattle. It is coming from the top of the glove box/bottom of the dash. Is sounds like a screw came out of a bracket or something and either the screw or the bracket is bouncing around. Has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you fix it, or did you just take it to the dealership? Would this type of stuff be covered under warranty?

I haven't had that, but it's definitely worth talking to your service manager. If you're still under warranty, they have to look at it... and if you can ride with them and convince them of the problem, they'll fix it. Otherwise, I'd probably follow the directions to get at the cabin air filter (behind your glove box). Maybe after getting that deep you could find the noise.

well I am going to take it to the dealership in the next couple of days to see what they say. Hopefully they will be able to do something about it.

I have a04 TL and had a rattle on the glove box and from all four windows when ever I drove on a bumpy road and/or turned. The dealership placed felt on the top and bottom of the glove box and replaced the window liners with felt. No more rattles, all under warranty. David

So I talked to the dealership and they said that they would not be able to do it under warranty because my factory warranty had expired and my extended warranty didn't cover that kind of cosmetic stuff. I ended up just doing it my self. When i took the glove box off i saw that a screw that was holding a bracket in place just under the dash had all of a sudden loosened up to the point of almost falling out, so all i had to do was tighted it back up and it was all taken care of.
