Every time there is a rough road or i am accelaration the top compartment rattles if it is in the open position and it constantly rattles if it is closed but now i noticed that the bottom compartment is starting to do the same. Is anyone else experiancing this problem and is there a solution????

The problem is the 2 compartments are rattling against each other. The trick is to stick some foam between them. I have an '04 and it was driving me crazy. One day I finally got sick of it and carefully forced the 2 compartments apart and stuck a piece of foam in between them. Been quiet ever since.

what does it sound like? buzzing noise like something hitting a metal? my rattle is between the upper compartment and the radio and it does not matter if it is open or close. took my car to dealer too many times for that and the rattle was never fixed.

 

I had the same problem and never use the compartments so I bought a black piece of cloth rolled it up and puched it in the lower compartment and it hasn't rattled in 4 years.
