annoying electronic clicking noise (3GTL Garage# D-007)
My car makes an electrical clicking noise every time i depress the brake. It is not mechanical in nature. My dealer told me this is normal and that they would lube it for me if I wanted. The guy has no clue, what is he going to do, oil a circuit board... i think not. I know all tls do not make this noise because i have ridden in others. Has anybody else had a similar experience?
oh yeah he also told me that the grinding/scraping noise i hear a couple of seconds after the car starts is the a/c compressor turning on. I am not sure of this either.

I had the same problem on my first gen TL. It is actually a mechanical noise but sound like a relay turning on. It comes from the gear solenoid by the gear shift. It happens when you press the brake to let you take the care out of park. Does this sound like where it is coming from?
If so you should ask to have it replaced. I did and mine sounds much better now.
As for the A/C compressor, you should just turn off the A/C from the climate control area and see if it still happens, if it doesn't it must be your A/C compresssor.
Hope this helps.

nope, tjis happens every single time i depress the brake, whether it is in park or in motion. it is definitely not coming from the gear shift, still i do appreciate the advice.

hdhaliwal2002 is also right, but he described another noise we used to hear.
TLsker, are you talking about the inside "click" sound? If so, this could be caused by "Brake Pedal Position Switch", above your brake pedal, http://www.acuraparts247.com/sunnysi...All&vinsrch=no check #6. (Thanks Ron A's link) If you hear this noise frequently and loudly each time you step on your brake pedal, you may ask your dealer to check it out. This part seems to be under backorder now.
There is outside "click" sound related to the brake, too.

yes the noise is definitely coming from the inside. sounds like you hit it on the head with the brake pedal position switch. I wonder if this is considered a defect and will be replaced under warranty?

Mine have the "click" sound whenever i step gas pedal from starting (feel like something is losing deep inside) and it disappeared when the car is over 15 km/h.
Can someone kind enough explain this? Thanks

Go to the dealer and have them replace it. I had this noise a while back but did not think much of it until my brake lights refused to come on everytime I stepped on the brake pedal. Parking lights came on fine just not the brake light. After the dealer replaced the part...no more clicking sound.
