angry trunk
so suddenly my trunk didn't feel like opening yesterday.
I pressed the trunk opener button on my remote and my trunk didn't pop up.
I can hear the click sound, but my trunk didn't open.
I lifted the trunk and it was HEAVY!! I never would have thought how heavy our trunk is!! I told it to lose some weight!
I'm guessing the trunk spring either came apart or broken.
Is this under warranty?

Um, i forget if the springs are over or under the "carpeted" liner, but i would check to see if the spring(s) are retained inside of the clips. Maybe just that you have to simply put it back in its place. I would imagine this would be under warranty, provided that you still are, if the spring broke...But i doubt a thick bar like that will snap....Maybe the retaining clip gave?
lights: sounds like a spring
LoveMyTL-S: I'd say ice on the seals? It's been cold your way lately. Even if no ice the seals need some lube anyway. Silicon spray on a rag then rub the seals. Don't use WD-40. Honda Shin Etsu grease is the best for this.

Agreed. I was using either 303 or silicon spray but then I had a tube of Shin-Etsu grease thrown in another parts order and that stuff is the real deal. It's the only thing that has silenced the dreaded drivers window squeak/creak that everyone suffers.

so i took my car in yesterday, had a CSX during the time.
scheduled for 12pm, got there and the lady told me my schedule was at 2pm. i told her i was scheduled at 12pm definitely. No idea why they'd pushed my schedule back 2 hours.
5pm, got a call from them to come pick up my car.
i went back with the CSX, they told me they had to order the part, but they didn't tell me it WASN'T fixed.
I was assuming that they had to order the parts, that's why it took so long.
they told me they'll give me a call back again once the parts arrived, after a one week waiting time.
i wonder if they really gonna call me to schedule another appointment, i doubt it.
i probably have to call them to remind them.

so i had to call to book an appointment. (they never call you to set one either).
but now they replaced my spring to the type s one (nice of them), which now my trunk pops so much higher without my type s spoiler.
also they fixed my rattling problem around the subwoofer, they put some sort of foam around my whole rear deck.
my car feels like a brand new car once again. YEA!
