Are all 2006 Acura TL 3.2 automatic transmission interchangeable
 

Hi everyone I purchased a 2006 Acura TL with 223,000 miles I did a 3x1 transmission fluid change now the transmission won’t go in any gear I located a 2006 tl in the salvage yard that was smashed in the front it has 158,000 miles on the windshield and the engine and transmission appears to be in good shape checked the transmission oil and it looks really good my tl is a automatic with a slapstick and the tl in the salvage yard is a automatic without the slapstick can someone tell me if this engine and transmission is interchangeable with mines thanks the salvage yard sells the engine for $300 and the transmission for $170 thanks

all trans for 2006 is the same! I would suggest you get the used one checked out before you put it in.

Hmmm, while I certainly am not an expert on 2004-2006 TL automatic transmission selectors, this is the first I have heard about the selector not having the Sequential SportShift mode; I've also confirmed this via my Owner's Manual which seems to indicate all 3G TL automatics have SSS mode.

Now, on to the transmission itself, why screw around with another soon to fail 2006 transmission; if you're going to put in a used/unremanufactured transmission, go directly to a Honda Accord 2006-2007 V6 transmission (with the build code of BAYA).
