Airbag Light - Cold Weather Problem

Hey Guys,

I have noticed in the past two weeks or so, when the car sits outside in cold weather (approx. -8oC or so) and when someone gets into my passenger seat, the airbag light comes on and comes back even after driving it and shutting it off and turning it on later even though there is no longer a passenger in the seat anymore. If I leave my car in the garage and leave with a passenger I don't get an airbag light at all.

The light does not come on when I'm the only person in the car and start it up cold on the first time so it's leading me to believe the airbag light has to do with something relating to the front passenger seat.

My only problem is that I do not have a code for the airbag light because I am unable to scan or bring it to the dealer when it comes on & unlike a thread I was reading (https://acurazine.com/forums/problem...-ideas-900763/), the code doesn't pop up on the navigation screen (maybe a US-spec only feature?)

Has anyone ever experienced something similar to this? I do not really want to leave my car overnight or for a couple days at the dealer for them to diagnose and pay for costly diag fees. Hopefully this thread can yield some answers before I may have to resort to that option.

Car is an '07 TL-S 6MT with a tick over 80,000mi/129,000km. No accident/damage history or modifications. Battery is in good condition.

Makes sense, looks like its an expensive sensor & isn't covered by a lifetime warranty by Acura.

Hopefully I can trip a warning one day & bring it to the dealer to confirm it's in-fact the OPDS sensor.
