Didn't see any posts about how to replacement the black air flow tube in a 3G TL 6MT. Saw today that mine is cracked in 2 places. Looks straight forward but thought I'd see if there are any lessons learned from anyone beyond what I read about torque force.
You'll want to take a hex socket or a flat head scredriver to undo the hose clamp.
Then you'll want to take a pair of pliers to compress the vacuum hose clamp and wiggle the metal vacuum line out of the tube.
Then you'll want to remove the MAP sensor wire from it's slot.
Then you'll want to undo the 4 bolts covering the engine air filter.
After that, the whole top portion of the air filter assembly along with the intake tube should come out, with some wiggling.
Take this assembly to your work bench or put it on the floor and remove the spring clamp from the old tube and remove the old tube.
Put on the new tube and do everything in reverse.
