Acura TL 2005 engine replacement

Hello guys,
What is the average cost for engine replacement and can you advise me a good mechanic to do this? One of cylinders is scratched and makes the knocking noise

$1000-$1500 for used engine and probably $800/$1000 for labor.

North NJ covers a big area.

There is a guy around the Clifton area most members here have taken their vehicle.
I can't recall of his name. Maybe someone can chime in.

Check Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market and select NJ and you'll find some in the $500-$600 range. Contact above post for install price and also some yards either do installs or have shops that can do the job.
