Acceleration Hesitation when AC is On

I'm relatively new to the forum but had my 08 TL-S since new with 44000 miles on it. Luckily, I've had no issues at all but recently noticed that when I have the AC on and starting from a full stop, the engine hesitates a bit then catches and goes.

It doesn't happen all the time and just seems to be the AC and not when the heat is on. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

The AC is a huge load (so to speak) on the engine so it's pretty common for it to rob performance while its running.

The added strain definitely makes a difference in how the car reacts...
Lucky for me I drive mostly highway so I do windows open most of the time. A big reason is what you just mentioned, too.

I had a 93, even worse. I sometimes had to downshift my 3 speed AT to merge
