AC Leaking On Passenger Floor

My AC is leaking onto the passenger floor. I think it is the drain tube. Is this possible? Has anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?

More than likely, it is indeed because the drain tube is plugged, either by:

1. a tech working under your car who didn't like it dripping on him and forgot to remove the plug (yeah, it's happened to someone on this board. during an oil change, they plugged the tube with a screw so it wouldn't drip on the tech in the pit). If you've recently had an oil change done, I'd be suspicious

2. (Most likely) road dirt/dust/sand/

This can get serious in a hurry because the overflowing water can also run into the PCM and fry it. Yes, it's happened to several members on the board. Do a search for "water fried my ecu/pcu". There are several threads on this.

You can also take your car to a car wash that has an underbody spray/cleaning system and see if that will clear the tube.

The drain tube is somewhere in front of the firewall on the passenger side. A couple of those threads give a better description of where the drain tube end is.

At any rate, I'd avoid running the A/C until you can determine if the tube is blocked.

get this fixed ASAP and I can't stress it more. I had no idea that my drain tube was plugged and leaking into the passenger side. In the end, I was driving on the highway, got CEL, the car started shaking and hesitating, pulled over only to find out the ecu was completely fryed. After having it towed to the dealer, I find out 2 ignition coils were melted as well. Like I said, get this taken care of
