AC Blower Stoped working

I've now got about 225k on my TL, and the latest in what have been several small but annoying issues....Traveling at Highway speed with AC on, I notice my AC stops blowing and a smell of elctronic burn. I get home and check the forum and read that it could be my Blower motor resistor, which is easy to locate under the dash area, two screws and it's out and sure enough smells like burnt electonics, so I buy one and replace it thinking that was an easy under $50 fix....still does not work. So I check my AC fan fuse 40A seems ok, check the relay seems ok....what is my next step? I am not overly electronically gifted, did I miss something?

At the blower motor, pull connector and check to see if any indication of
plug overheating or melting, check for power at plug, then apply power
directly to blower motor to see if motor runs.
