ABS/VSA Issue
ABS/VSA Issue
I have on of those Chinese made HIM/HDS scanner. My VSA light ABS light and MIL light are currently on. I am trying to figure out what the issue is currently. I have the following trouble codes for Honda ABS Permanent DTC:
21-1 RIGHT FRONT PULSAR FAILURE
27-1 STEERING ANGLE SENSOR FAILURE
61-1 BATTERY VOLTAGE FAILURE
112-1 INTERNAL POWER SOURCE FAILURE
I attempting dealing with the right front ABS sensor by replacing the sensor with a new one but the codes remain after clearing the DTC with the HDS. I am thinking maybe these many codes might indicate my ABS modulator maybe broken. But I want to do some troubleshooting before I come to this conclusion.
Reading through the repair manual there a few items I would like to get clarity on.
Where do you find the VSA control unit? I am thinking it is the same as the VSA modulator.
Also in the manual it mentions "Inspect G203 for a clean and tight connection" Where do you find G203?

I am going to attempt the troubleshooting step this weekend. If anyone was wondering G203 is a ground spot on Acura and Honda vehicles. I believe this one will be closest to the VSA unit in the engine compartment. I will report back with my finding.
Bearing
The steps outlined in the repair manual where a little hard to follow as I was not 100% sure how to use my multitester tool. Ended up taking the car to the Stealership. It turned out to be the wheel bearing. The messed up thing is that I heard the bearing but it was not as loud as other bad bearing I have heard in the past. I got the bearing replaced and all trouble codes I mentioned are now gone. I do have a new trouble code Honda ABS Permanet DTC 84-1 Sensor Logice Failure. The HDS stated the ABS/VSA unit would have to be recalibrated by clearing the DTC. I cleared the DTC this morning and will drive the car later on today to see if the code goes away.
