So the shyt OE Battery crapped out on me and was wondering some experiences you guys had. I live in NYC so the winters are cold, im not tyring to go out and buy the best battery money could buy, just something "GOOD". I dont have an Aftermarket Audio system or anything, Any recommendiatons would be very helpful. Thanks again guys

 

The OE battery has at least a 36-month full replacement warranty. I think it is actually 48-months but can't be certain.

 

I favor "Interstate" batterys, they sell them at Sam's $72-76
A lot of the guys on here also like the Costco battery, forgot the
brand name.

Suit yourself. OE replacement is free....(and the OE replacement battery has a 36-month free replacement warranty). Non-OE is at least $75

i had my battery replaced by acura at less then 2 years old, the acura battery they put in has a 100 month warranty right on the battery...

 

Yeah, OEM replacement batteries have a 36-month free replacement warranty and then prorated out to 100 months. The replacement warranty is listed in the warranty booklet.

OEM batteries have a 4 year unlimited mileage warranty. MY OEM battery was replaced free under warranty when it was 39 months old- The dealer said it tested low even tho I never had any problems with it,

 

Question...Did you keep power the computer with one of those 9 volt devices that plug into the charging recepticles in the car? If not did you encounter any problems once the car was started again?

 

no problems at all..... I did have to Re-Enter the Navi and Radio codes

 

I had 5 days left in the 4yr warranty on the battery. My 15 yr old was cleaning the car & had the key in on position for an hr with the radio blasting & I found both seat heaters on when she was done. Went to start car next morning, dead. Road side boosted me free. Also 5 days left for that service. Went in for service today, tested battery, failed. Replaced free under original 4yr warranty. Just lucky I guess.
