For about a month now. My 2007 Acura TL-S has been getting rougher and rougher when I drive around 55-60mph. I never hit anything like a huge pot hole. Or bent a rim.. It comes and goes too every couple of seconds. Example: I drive up to 60 put cruise on. It vibrates, the wheel especially. It will vibrate then go away for about 20 seconds then come back. And while I accelerate it pulls a bit to the left. But that's only under acceleration. It's been bothering me. And it's getting really bad with the vibration. Are there any known issues with vibrations on Type S models? Also to note. My inner walls of my two front tires are now down to the threads... So I am just curious what this MAY be. Any recommendations? And if I brought this to an Acura dealer, what do you think they would say? No to warranty? I know I have a 70K powertrain. And I have exactly 60K. Also I have an aftermarket extended warranty to 100K.
So the vibration comes and goes and my tires are being eaten away..

alignment (when was the last one)? axle (do you get vibration under acceleration)? are you lowered? throw a wheel wt? worn suspension component? worn tires (as you mentioned)? is the road smooth (ie no subtle little undulations)?
depending on what the problem is it might be covered by warranty (axle would/should), maybe suspension. wheel/tire...that's all on your buck plus the diagnostic. the more specific you can be about the vibration it will help us help you and if you decide to take it to the dealer...it should help them (make sure you ride in the car WITH the tech or shop foreman to describe the issue). vibrations are a pain to diagnose (i've been through these issues as well after new tire install).
if you're due for tires, might as well get new tires (be sure to get a road force balance if you get UHP tires, it'll eliminate whether there is a ding in your rims and determine if a new tire is bad) and an alignment, then see what happens.

I havent gotten an alignment since I got the car in September of last year. Under acceleration it will pull slightly to the left. Though the pulling started after I rotated my tires roughly in March. I am at stock height. So I'm not lowered. The local highway was recently paved, so it's completely smooth and it will still vibrate.
Now I know the tires are going to be in need of replacement in the next month or so. So I may just wait to replace those first and at the same time balance and such then. And if it still does it I'll bring it to Acura. But I'm just not sure if that'll fix the issue. Mainly because when the tires where still decent they still had a vibration. And I know when I bought the car it didnt have any. The vibration comes at exactly 55+ mph. Thanks so much for those questions and input!

i say tires on the pulling issue. the vibration could be caused but the tires and uneven where. the TL is picky about alignments. the toe must be as close to zero as possible.
get the new tires, get the road force balance to rule out wheel dings as well as lateral pull (can be corrected/helped with said machine-look up hunter road force balance), and the alignment done. then re-assess. if its still doing crazy stuff...then be more concerned. usually high speed vibrations...wheels/tires.
i know...its a pain. already went through it with mine...just trying to save some trips to the shop. good luck!

Vibrations can be very frustrating. I think it's a bent rim, although they may look fine on the outside but if your car is in the air on a lift look on the insides, I had that problem on two rims and it significantly reduced them, I still have a little vibration.
I have this exact same issue and I'm starting to believe it's my left side motor mount...being that I have the 6MT. Especially with having the car in the beginning and getting use to the clutch (jerking a lot from 1st to 2nd). And being that it only pulls left under acceleration and I've had multiple alignments...that's what I'm thinking. And I've heard of others having this same problem and that ended up being their problem. Let me know if you take it in if its the left motor mount.
I had something very similar. I just found out my back right break was locking up. When I jacked my car up my wheel would still turn, but it had a lot more resistance than it should. I also notice that rotor was getting very very hot compared the rest. I had my car aligned, tires balanced twice before i realized it was my back break starting to freeze up. Check your break pads and see if the wear is normal on both. I just had to replace a caliper and now it rides smooth.

sounds like axles (inner CV joint). had that happen at 42k mi on mine. you feel it in the car and in through the wheel?
