6MT, 3rd Gear Tough to Engage
I've noticed after a cold start (out of the garage), I have a problem engaging 3rd gear. I have to use extra force to engage 3rd gear, especially when the engine is cold. It's not a big deal; my previous car was a Z-28 T-56, 6-speed so the TL's gear box is pure butter compared to that rock crusher.
I did a search and really didn't find a solution for the problem. Only thing I saw was to change the transmission fluid. Not sure how that would help, this feels like a mechanical problem...shifter is notchy feeling going in 3rd. Is this just inherent in the gear box?
Thanks,
WayneWarrior

I'd start by taking the car to the dealer and ask them to change the transmission fluid. Many of the shifting problems were resolved by simply changing the transmission fluid, even if it was Honda MTF.

I moved this thread to Problems & Fixes, and now it is in good company with a thread just down the page about the same problem.
