6 speed transmission not shifting

Alright guys thanks in advance for the help. Here's the deal I replaced just about everything that has to do with my clutch. The reason i changed it it's because my clutch master cylinder was shot and I have over 250K on the tl so I figured I should change the clutch too. So I changed the clutch master, slave cylinder, throw out bearing, pressure plate and clutch disc. Now I put it all together started the car and it won't shift into any gear. I bled the clutch and replaced the fluid. I thought that maybe I put the clutch in the wrong way so I took it back apart to double check and everything is installed the way it's suppose to be. Does anyone have any idea why it's not shifting into any gears? Forgot to mention that I did add gear oil to the Tranny. please and thank you for your advice

Gear oil is your problem. Drain it and put in pennzoil synchromesh. The fluid too thick for the transmission. It happened to me when I switched to redline and the car won't shift into gear until everything was warmed up

Really. I'd have to try it out. But it goes into gear while the car is off, wouldn't the thick oil keep it from going into gear even if the car was off?

Mine did the same thing. It was weird as hell. Would go into 1st when I parked it and then go into neutral. But will not shift into gear until the fluid warms up.

Also check the linkage for excess slack.

Sounds like #6

I'd use OEM fluid just to minimize the factors.

Forget about the OEM fluid.

There is yet to be a long term study on the fluid. I'm sure Honda engineers know what they're doing. OEM all the way. Otherwise they'd copy the bankrupt GENERAL MOTOR'S elixir

Changed mine out at ~30K because of the 3rd gear notching issue. Cured it immediately. Still going strong 220K miles later. That's good enough for me. But there are lots of folks besides me who swear by the GMSMF and no one has anything but praise for it....
