6 speed manual whine
Just curious if anyone else has the same whine from their 6 speed. Saw a couple of the posts from some time ago when searching but not much.
Probably normal but figured I'd see what others say. Notice on my 07 type-S only really in 4th and 5th..seems more so in 5th at say around 40mph up to 45mph or so/ 2000 rpms to maybe 2500 there is a bit of a whine under light acceleration. Recently Switched over to GM Syncromesh and shifts perfectly fine. Just curious if anyone else has it or even notices..

Not directly related to our cars, but my 2009 AT Altima coupe has a whine when going over 60mph for 40 mins or more. Turns out that the whine was a fail-safe as the CVT fluid would get too hot for the transmission. I remember a TSB saying that part of the fix would be to put in coolant that was mixed down to -25 degrees or something. Perhaps you should take a look into that first, and check if all your fluids are at a good level.
