5 Issues (Cosmetic)
5 Issues (Cosmetic)
1. How on earth do you remove the plastic cover that hides the screws to hold the drivers side sun visor in place? Mine has been half off and I could never get it back on so I finally took some time to look at it and it appears one of the screws is half out, so how do you remove the cover so I can screw the visor screw back in?
2. How do you get the drivers side seat back cover back on? I guess mine popped out and now the bottom part of the cover wont secure. I took the whole thing off and nothing appears to be broken but the bottom just wont hold in place no matter how hard I push.
3. In the back seat on the air vent, the little piece that controls moving the vent left and right has come off. I fished the piece out but cant seem to figure out how to slip it into place. Is there a way I can do it without having to take the entire center console apart?
4. How can I clean the grime off of my steering wheel and shift knob? It seems like its gotten dirty over time and using armorall doesnt really help clean it. I've read a few things but I wanted to see if I could get a definite answer as to the best thing to clean these two pieces.
5. Whenever I have to readjust my mirrors using the cars driver memory I can hear these loud pops coming from the driver side mirror as it moves. It almost is like it gets stuck then gets past it. So far I've not noticed any sluggishness when it moves or any other problems aside from the popping. I mainly think something is wrong because the passenger side moves much more smoothly and quietly when it adjusts.
Thanks guys!

Since I can not edit the main thread, I found ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...valpg20-70.jpg )for removal of the cap but I'm not understanding how the tabs work I guess. I tried using a flat head screwdriver with some tape on it to protect everything but couldnt get it to release.
#2. Common problem; bosses/clips are broken. There is a TSB here: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/3g-tl-technical-service-bulletins-tsbs-3g-garage-j-016-a-613659/.
Read and follow the instructions in the above link and then access TSB #08-008 (http://techinfo.honda.com/Rjanisis/pubs/SB/b08-008.pdf)
#4. Clean with a solution of water and Woolite (~5:1 up to 10:1) using a micro-fiber towel. Then use a GOOD leather cleaner & protectant. NOT Armourall. Meguiars Gold Class, Leatherique, etc.

Ah okay, I'll get some of that. As for the leather cleaner, can I buy those brands at an average store or will I need to go to a more specalized place? I got the armourall because this is my first time owning a car with leather.
I'll know for the future.Edit: I'm finding the clips around for a decent price but the repair bracket seems to cost around $90! Is that right? Has anyone else done this repair and had it cost that because otherwise it doesn't seem worth it to me.
