40 mhp shaking/shudder?

Hey zine!

I was looking a answer to my question on this forum but all point a balance or bent rim...

Ok this my problem, at 40mhp to 45mhp my car start shaking when I pass 45mhp the shaking/shudder stops. When i put my car on Reverse the Trans make a Thump noise. I did change upper trans mount, atf change, 3rd & 4th pressure switched change but i still got this 40-45mhp shudder. Does somone know whats going on? I dont think this not might be a balance or crack rim?

As my motor mount i got front and side xlr8 and oem rear.

The thump going into reverse could be a trans mount. The shudder..my 2nd gen TL has it and I am pretty sure it is the torque conv. On that gen I can run it in D4 instead of D5 and the torque conv doesn't lock up. Once above 60mph on the highway I can then jump into D5. Seems at around the speeds you mention the car wants to get into 5th gear to save fuel but it lugs along and the torque converter clutch starts to slip

Sounds like bad motor/trans mount to me. If it was a tire, it would get better the faster you go and you would notice at low speeds too so doesn't sound like that. Bent rim would shake bad when braking at high speeds. You could have a bad wheel bearing going out.. there are so many possibilities with this. Is the shaking in the steering wheel or the pedals. Does it shake when you brake or no, does it get better if you accelerate or no.

Nop just D but the wen is on 4th gear the engine feels lazy and the rev goes up to 3k to change to 5th while others goes to 2.3/2.5

Have you checked your LCA bushings? They're notorious for failure on the 3rd gen TL.

pope the hud and put it in reverse and see if the motor moves . and they have a additive to put in the transmission because the torque converter shimmies or you transmission on its way out . been through this twice and had to replace all motor mounts when i thought it was just one until the transmission was out . hope that helps . good luck!

I forgot to mention Pressure switches are aftermarket shudder was before replasing switches to and when replasing them It didn't throw a bit of Fluid btw i use dw1 on my 3x3... Should i buy oem switches and do another drain and fill ? Or just go and check the trans for a possible torque converter replacement?
