3x3 fail. Please HELP!
So apparently the case is different even on 04-06, from what they're telling me...they finally found a case, but apparently its in Canada. Sigh....I'm not paying for it, so whatever, but STILL!I just want this done!
That thought galloped across my mind for a sec, man...but the fact that I only paid 1300 for all this (1500 after getting him to do the torque converter work) AND he's letting me do this broken up in payments kinda swayed me from it. Plus the work's already done. (for all intended purposes)

so they cudnt drill a bigger holes on the existing case?
So I finally got my ride back Monday! After about a month (almost two month) long process, she's finally back in business and better than ever!
This whole thing was just a mess up until the end...but she's finally back with some Redline in her system and a higher stalling torque converter in there. Thanks for the recommending it, IHC! Feels like she gets up and goes so much better! And thanks to all you guys for your help throughout the whole process! Now back to continuing my build.

Justin has sh*tty brakes!
That's a good point about waiting until it's cold. I couldn't believe how much harder the bolts for the jpipe were when they were hot vs. cold.

JUSTIN!!!!
yes, i tore the lower tranny mount.
which is located near the automatic tranny switches.
i fixed that.
but i have air in my brake lines. I need a 2nd person to help bleed.
P.S. I still feel bad that i kinda helped contribute to your tranny mishap.

Justin, just don't let Justin help you fix your brakes and you'll be alright. (I'm not sure which Justin is the bad luck charm).
Crabby Jus...how would air have gotten introduced into your lines?

Justin- I'll swing by this weekend if you want. The day after my ride went into the shop, my intake arrived (sigh), so we can maybe do that this weekend after we do your brakes? And maybe avoid anything blowing up? :P
Rockstar- One day we'll learn.
Anil- Thanks, dude! Glad to have it back! It was kind of a friend discount deal (never again...long story), so the guy agreed to put a higher stalling one in for 200 on top of the deal. Wasn't too bad. I'm at work, so lemme track down that receipt and see if I can find what kind....

If you were willing to go a step farther than the basic $200 restall of the stock converter you would have a tire smoking machine but I doubt anyone wants to drive around with a 3,500rpm stall converter on the street. It would nearly level the playing field with the manual...... until 4th gear lol.
