3200RPM out of first?

Hey guys searched the forums but no answer...

Is it normal for a 3200ish rpm shift out of first? Just regular driving no SS. Seems high to me. I had an 88 integra years ago and the trans crapped out on me. Ever since, EVERY car I've driven I feel as if it'll crap out too. I know I know.

Assuming auto and not getting on it, I would say yet - higher than it should be. Is it all the time or when cold? What other factors?

Well I noticed it today driving it to the dealership to ship my car to San Diego. Didn't get on it... I just noticed it was taking a little to shift and when I looked, it was at 3200 and shifted. This was in a neighborhood. I guess about 10 minutes after I started it.

You may want to check your transmission fluid to make sure you have enough. The other thing many have done is replace pressure switches, but it normally is third and fourth gear switches. Obviously this wouldn't help a first gear issue but you may want to replace that one.

If you have warranty from the dealer maybe its best to take it in to get it inspected.

Didn't realize you were still under warranty. As this is the case then obviously it would make the most sense to let the dealer try and figure it out.

Good Luck and let us know how you make out.
