2008 TL Transmission Question

I just emptied my transmission for the first time since I got my TL back in June, it has 104,000 miles and the fluid wasn't too dark and didn't smell burnt. But once I drained it I put in three quarts of Honda DW-1 atf and when I checked the dip stick it had nothing on it! I took it for a test drive for twenty minutes around town and it shifts soooooo much faster and smoother! Should I be worried about the amount of fluid in there?

Did you keep track of how much you took out. How much you took out should = how much you put in.

It was a bit of a problem containing all the fluid...so no I did not get an accurate reading

the trans will drain between 3.1 and 3.5 quarts. If you check the manual, you have to check the level within 60 seconds of shutting off the engine once it's at operating temp. It should be between the two holes.

Okay that's seriously helpful, I was always taught that you should check the teams fluid with the engine running. Thanks!
