2007 Type S-6 spd vibration

Hey guys, i have seen a few posts on this, just want to see what everyone thinks. First off, i just purchased a 2007 cbp type s with 63,000 miles on it. The car seems to be in really good shape, at least physically and only has had one owner. Ive noticed that at 45-75 mph, the car shakes a little, not the wheel, just the car in general. I figured it was a balancing issue so i brought the car to my local mechanic and they rebalanced the front wheels. The issue stilll is there. I called the dealer and they said it could be flat spots in the tires if the car was sitting a while and they wont look at the car until i ut on 500 miles..Does anyone have an imput? im kind of confused with this. Ive read about axles and what not but i dont want to jump to conclusions,.Thanks for any imput guys

if wheels and tires ok, then move onto bigger parts. flatspotting will only be noticeable first thing in the morning after the car has sat for a while (days). how old are the tires? ding in the rim? road force balance will find bent wheels. tire pressure OK?

is it when you accelerate? constant steady speed?

vibration can come from various sources. wheels/tires, suspension, axles, motor mounts...the more specific you are about when the vibration occurs (speeds-you gave, certain RPMs, accelerations, etc).

Hey man, thanks for the quick reply. i didnt see any noticeable bends in the wheels when it was on the lift, but that doesnt mean they arent bent. ive heard of road force balance, where cani do this? tires have a lot of meat left on them so i think they are fairly new. tire pressure is good. it occurs at steady speed, even when i let off the gas pedal. any ideas?

hunter road force balance machines...most dealers have them. some big box shops. steady state...first check wheels and tires. could be other suspension components (lower control arm bushings). since the car is relatively new to you, you have no idea if the previous owner smacked a pothole or not. i would start with that first and then move on to other parts. no sense i throwing parts at the car right?

on a completely different note, make sure your 3rd gear synchro is ok or at least get it fixed before you hit 70k. Just picked one up with 71k thought the tranny was good, but it's been popping out every day. At least Honda is going to cover most of it. I have a similar vibration but I thought it was the crapy roads up here in the NW. btw big ups for westchester the bestchester, grew up in hartsdale.

check out the huge thread here on acurazine about the compliance bushings...they cause a vibration in steering wheel at 65-75 mph, and all TL's WILL have this problem sooner or later

Nope, I did the diy with my friend. Just spent $35 on bushing and $15 on machine pressure for the bushing.

Stealership charge $500-$600 to replace the compliance bushings.

UPDATE: Picked the car up from the dealer last night and all i can say is wow! The car rides better then new now. All vibration is goneand I also couldnt believe that the steering was so much tighter now too. The car now drives the way it always should have. Thanks to everyone who gave their insight on the problem. It is much appreciated!!
