weird that an '07 has that much carbon build up.

try seafoam, in the gas tank and intake manifold.
if that doesnt help, you can try cleaning the EGR valve.

Thanks justnspace! I have 73K on the car already! So do I need a gasket when I remove it? Should I just take it to Autozone to have the codes cleared? Acura wants $89 just to diagnose!

OP, chances are it's just plugged by a chunk of carbon/debris. Remove it and blow it out with compressed air. I doubt you need to buy a new one.

Is there an easy way to remove this..oh wait.. nothing is easy . I have an appt with the Acura Stealer... next week. I am guessing they will want to replace it. Wonder how much this is going to cost me ??? Oh well car has been good to me up to this point. Would this be covered by the 8 / 80K Emissions warranty??

theres two bolts, they look like 11mm or 12mm. take them off and take the wire connector off.

thats it. easy.
nfnsquared suggested to use compressed air to blow it out.

So I called the dealer today and asked how much the part cost and they quoted me $127! Then the parts guy proceeded to tell me I should bring the car in because they might have to remove the manifold to clean it or it could be a number of other problems happening??? WTF! Not sure what to do here?

I have a 2007 Type S with 68000 miles and I got the same code yesterday. I did a search and came up with this thread which is very helpful. This morning the engine light was still on and I was getting my Acura extended customer care warranty paperwork together to call the dealer. I went to a meeting at lunch and on my return trip I noticed that the light was no longer on. I guess I'll wait and see what happens.
