For the last year or so, my power steering has, for >50% of the time, is not working at all.

Its weird, some days it works fine, but most of the time I have to wrestle the damn steering wheel. My GF refuses to drive as parallel parking is a MAJOR PITA/impossible for her.

I've took it to the dealer, they said everything looks fine. I had the pump changed as well, but that did not fix anything.

IDK what else the problem could be, maybe the rack?

 

there could be a bad seal in the hoses letting air into the system, or there is an issue with the rack and pinion.

Check the Power Steering Fluid for bubbles when the car is running. If there are bubbles there is a bad seal causing the issue.

Not sure if this makes any sense, but I think I have noticed the problem is not as bad when it is rainy/wet outside. Could that have any impact or am I just going crazy lol ?
