2007 Acura TL Transmission Failure....

Had dealers 2007 Acura TL (automatic) loaner (yes it rattles) with less than 1000 miles. Driving down the street at 25 mph (transmission in "D") the tranny light came on and the VSA warning light kicked on. The vehicle is now running in gimp mode (cannot go faster than 5 mph and stuck in second gear). The vehicle is NOT running low on transmission fluid, there is NOTHING wrong with this vehicle except it had a 2100 RPM drone in gears "1-5" (it was like this when i got it, didn't think much of it. This drone did not happen in Neutral or Park when engine is running at 2100 RPMs)
Just an FYI, I have no idea what is wrong with it... anyone else have their 3rd gen tranny go bad? If so, what was the reason?

very few of the 3gs had that the trannys replaced. IT is very odd that the 07 transmission would fail as the 07 transmission is the rl's just with changed gear ratios.

at least you don't own an 2nd gen TL where the trannsmission would die very easily.

I just bought a 07 TL type-S on Dec. 9th. It has been in the shop for 3 weeks, Christmas Day. Acura has NO idea how to fix much less what is wrong with it. I also lost 3rd gear. Drove it home from dealer, started with 8 miles and with 280 miles broken. Waiting for new transmission to arrive, from Ohio(thought TL's were built in Japan and Accords were built in Ohio). If I get the wrong transmission installed, new attitude to address with Acura. I would rather have a new vehicle and start over. What a joke!! Should of had a BMW! Thanks Acura for the NON_SUPPORT. ....disgusted in Savannah.

The only other problem I have had with my TL is upon delivery it had one bad strut and my dealership replaced all four, but now three of the new ones are bad again and according to my dealer Acura is aware of the problem but has yet to find a fix.
