2007 Acura TL engine hiccups on stops with noise
What maintenance have you done on the vehicle since you've owned it. Has everything been checked and serviced per Honda/Acura? Fluids? Filters?
You may also want to consider taking it to a good independent mechanic. Then report back on what he finds. Whether it's check engine light codes, etc.
That would really give us enough information to help you further. Especially if you don't know anything about the service history of the vehicle.

Mine has done this before as well when it was low on oil. It now does it with full oil level now. I'm beginning to think its timing related. Either the belt is too stretched or the plugs are causing detonation. It usually happens under a short burst of throttle from a dead stop, correct?
