Talking 2007 Acura TL Driver side mirror will not return to normal position

When in reverse, driver's side mirror moves down to show the street. When moved back to drive, the mirror is stuck in the down position. Any help/suggestions with correcting this problem.

I'm interested in this one as well. However mine gets stuck in the opposite position, pointing to the sky like that's the original position even though I have it set to my memory.

Thread should be in 3G TL. I'll see if I can get it moved.

Try cycling the mirror to the extreme limits of each position-- up, down, and each side-- until you get clicking or rebounding of the mirror.
After that, push the memory button to position the mirror to its normal position, place the trans in Reverse and then back to Park to see if the mirror positions itself properly.

Otherwise, it may be a mirror actuator, which may be subject to a TSB (check the TSB thread to see if that is the problem addressed by the TSB).

Bad actuator. Had one go south in my MDX when it was about a year old.

i had both of mine replaced under warranty, now my passenger is acting up again out of warranty. i found this thread that has some help

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-problems-fixes-114/replace-side-mirror-actuator-motor-755014/

in post 15 it says to use white lithium grease to lube up the motors. and in other post it says that you can use estore.honda.com to buy new motors for about $40 bucks each. and it seems easy enough to replace your self.
